Trek Passions

I am a sci-fi fan, but I am not a sci-fi geek. I am a musical theatre and television geek, and I do like sci-fi geeks, but I’m just not one myself. I do think I have sci-fi “cred” (said with tongue planted firmly in cheek), though, because I love Next Generation, Firefly, Doctor Who, Battlestar Gallactica, Lost, and Heroes. I have very few passions but those that I do have are very important to me, namely musical theatre (Sondheim is God), leftist politics, and my T.V. addiction. I grew up in NYC, went away to college, and am now back and trying to "make it" as an opera singer. In other words, I temp. I come from a secular Jewish background, appreciating Jewish culture, but not believing in the religion. I am looking for a guy who is fun to be with and who shares my interests (or at least understands them). Some non sci-fi television that I like are The Office, West Wing, Will & Grace, Scrubs, Arrested Development, Simpsons, Queer Eye, Daily Show, Six Feet Under, Veronica Mars, Sex in the City, Queer as Folk, I, Claudius, and Upstairs/Downstairs
