I Bleed Science Fiction

Disclaimer: I will undoubtedly leave out something important. If you want to know something, just ask! The obvious and the me: I'm a science fiction nut. I still have a fond love for Star Wars, I like Star Trek, and currently I'm obsessed with Battlestar Galactica (with V closing in). I also read, write, and study science fiction (currently getting my MA in SF). Whether it's film or books, I'm in; I'm as much into film as books. Personality-wise, I'm fairly easy going. I am told I have a good sense of humor and that I'm fairly smart (I think that's just the SF talking). I like sarcasm and a little cynicism and other humorous things. Relationship-wise, I am fairly affectionate and I like being silly and doing romantic things (holding hands, snuggling, seeing movies, wandering around bookstores staring at books, etc.). What I'm looking for here: I'd like to meet some nifty new people who are into some of the things I'm into. Making some new SF-inclined friends would be nice. But I'm not just interested in friends, and if something develops or I meet someone I really like, I'd love to see where it goes. Who I'd like to date: Someone who has a good sense of humor and who is more than capable of acting like a complete goof with me in almost any situation (seriously, I like being silly even in intimate moments; I think it's enjoyable and comforting). I want to find someone who actually gets me, who understands my SF/F obsession, who shares at least some of my interests, who likes spending time together and doing silly things and romantic things, and is just as willing to sit at home snuggled up in front of a movie as go out for a nature walk or what have you. I also really want to find someone I can have intellectual conversations with (someone I can actually talk to about serious issues from time to time and have friendly debates).
